Tata’s latest affordable electric SUV model, Tata Punch EV, has officially hit the market. After opening pre-orders in early January, the starting price for this compact SUV has been announced as $12,000.
With the approval of Tata Motors, the electric car sector in India is entering a completely new era. Following the successful steps of Nexon, Tata Motors has introduced its latest electric vehicle, the Punch EV. This compact yet powerful electric SUV has heightened expectations and excitement in the country. Punch EV, one of India’s most budget-friendly electric cars, is gearing up to make a significant impact in a competitive market where Tata Motors already holds an impressive 80% market share.
Tata Punch EV Features
Tata Motors most affordable electric vehicle, Punch EV model, comes with 25 kWh or 35 kWh battery options and 82 HP or 122 HP motor options. This miniature electric SUV offers an impressive range with two options according to MIDC, 315 km and 421 km.
Tata Punch EV will be showcased in showrooms in India starting from February 1, 2024, and deliveries will follow.
While Tata’s export plans are currently uncertain, it is expected to announce its electric vehicle sales strategy for Europe and other regions later this year.
