LEVC L380 Electric MPV Rolls Off the Production Line

LEVC is accelerating its transition from a premium taxi manufacturer to a leading provider by commencing production of the new LEVC L380 Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), the first model of a groundbreaking series featuring innovative, spacious, and all-electric models.

Following the recent launch of the state-of-the-art Electric Vehicle (EV) platform, the Space-Orbit Architecture (SOA), developed in collaboration with Geely Holding Group, the L380 will be the first model to benefit from this revolutionary technology. The platform will expand LEVC’s vehicle lineup with new products that offer advancements in range, efficiency, safety, charging time, durability, and connectivity.

On Thursday, January 25th, the first prototype of the L380 rolled off the assembly line in Yiwu, China, where LEVC’s production operations are centered following significant investments in the facility. The plant has been redesigned to meet the requirements of industrial future, introducing an agile and intelligent approach to general production. This facility is located alongside the state-of-the-art factory in Ansty, Coventry.

The expansion of the company’s production footprint is a crucial part of LEVC’s transition into a global e-mobility brand. Following the start of production this week, the L380 will initially be launched in China, with plans for the MPV to reach the UK within the next two years.

With a heritage of over a century in ‘mobility,’ LEVC has always focused on meeting the needs of society by transporting people in urban areas. The new L380 model builds upon this unparalleled legacy, introducing the company to an entirely new market by offering smart, green, safe, and accessible mobility.
