Kia unveils ‘Kia PV’ concepts at CES 2024

South Korean giant Kia, one of the world’s largest automakers, unveiled its fully electric commercial vehicle concept at CES 2024 today. We shared the Kia PV concept with you in all its details.

With the vehicles developed on the PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) platform, Kia aims to be the leader in the electric vehicle market by 2030.The production of the PV concept will be carried out in a factory with a production capacity of 150,000 at Kia’s AutoLand Hwaseong campus in Korea.

The PV5’s mass production date is 2025. The light commercial, which can serve as both a commercial cargo vehicle and robotaxi, will be followed by the PV1, a compact urban delivery-oriented vehicle.

Developed especially to facilitate fleet management, the concept, connectivity features and operating system will have software on this fleet management. The autonomous driving hardware and software developed by the Hyundai-Aptiv partnership will also be used in robot taxi services.
