Chinese BYD launched the 2024 version of its cheapest electric car BYD Dolphin Mini (Seagull) with a discount, making the starting price $ 9,500.
The vehicle, which is almost at the same price level as electric cars in the micro-car segment in China, was launched last week in the U.S. for about 20 thousand dollars.
After the 5% price cut, BYD managed to sell more than 330 thousand Seagulls in less than a year, maintaining its price advantage over electric cars from brands such as Wuling, Neta, Chery, which are BYD’s strongest competitors.
